Today's passage is from Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, pages 155-158. We continue our reading of The Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah with the Eighth Hidden Word:
O Son of Spirit!
There is no peace for thee save by renouncing
thself and turning unto Me; for it behoveth thee to glory in My name,
not in thine own; to put they trust in Me and not in thyself, since I
desire to be loved alone and above all that is.
I close with a prayer for detachment by The Bab from the Baha'i Prayer Book on page 55.
